Fall Locations

Barrett House

Located in Lorton, Virginia, the Barrett House features a wide, grassy field, a large beautiful tree that shows off deep maroon leaves in November, and a rustic historic house.

Manassas Battlefield

Located about 45 minutes west of Washington, DC, Manassas Battlefield has a variety of options for backgrounds--tall grassy fields, historic buildings, and a stone bridge. This year I plan to shoot at the stone bridge as opposed to the big grassy field, but I'll confirm lighting first. Either way, it's worth the drive!

Jones Point Park

Nestled between Old Town Alexandria and the Potomac River, this location has a historic lighthouse and beautiful trees.

Silver Lake Regional Park

This location is also worth the 45 minute drive from Washington, DC! The sun shows off during golden hour here, with beautiful yellow leaves, a small lake, and a cute bridge.

Green Spring Gardens

There is something blooming year round here! Green Spring Gardens is conveniently located near Annandale and offers beautiful blooms, a white gazebo, and simple brick paths. This is a great option if the typical oranges and browns of fall aren't what you're looking for. It's also great for families who want to get on the ground to interact.

Heron Pond

Located across the street from Silverbrook Elementary School, this quaint pond features beautiful fall colors, golden light, a wooden bridge, and a large pond in the background.

Leesylvania State Park

This location is new this year so I don't have any of my own photos. If you're looking for something different than the typical fall foliage and colors, look no further! This is a beach location right down 95.
